March in Melbourne
The Australian Grand Prix™ Corporation coined the phrase "a great place for the race" and Melbourne is just that. Australia’s second largest city is one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan on earth, with plenty to do both day and night. The climate in late summer is perfect, the people are friendly and, to top it all, the Grand Prix™ is one of the best organised of the year.
“Melbournians are sports-mad,” says local hero Mark Webber. “The climate allows for a very outdoor lifestyle, so people are always doing something.”
Albert Park staged a non-championship Grand Prix™ between 1956 and '58, but only in 1996 did it appear on the world championship calendar. Until 2005 the race had always been the season-opener, but that changed for 2006 due to the Commonwealth Games being staged in Melbourne until mid- March.

April in Malaysia
Malaysia offers a fascinating mix of urban sophistication and rural charm. The cities, and particularly the capital Kuala Lumpur (KL), are developing extremely quickly, but the countryside has maintained its innocence. The Sepang Circuit was built in 1998 and, so good were its facilities, it became the inspiration for all of Formula One’s subsequent new tracks.

May in barcelona
Barcelona has something to offer everyone, which is why it’s now one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. The narrow, Gothic streets of the old town offer mystique and history, while the modern Eixample district, is full of the latest shops and businesses. In the past three decades the city has gone from strength-to-strength and developed a unique identity within Spain. The Catalan language - a mix of French, Spanish and Italian - differentiates the spoken word and the architecture sets the city apart as well.
The Circuit de Catalunya is situated to the north of the city. It was one of the fringe projects built on the back of the 1992 Summer Games. It was finished in time for the 1991 Spanish Grand Prix™.

May in Montecarlo
More like ‘why not go?' Monaco at Grand Prix™ time epitomises everything that’s great about Formula One™ racing: speed, glamour, passion, noise and a hint of danger because the cars are never too far away from the barriers.
The Principality has a lot of history in its own right, with the Grimaldi Family having reigned supreme since 1297. In a Formula One™ context, the track is one of the greatest challenges on the calendar; it staged its first (pre championship) Grand Prix™ in 1929 and has remained largely unchanged ever since.
Celebrities flock to the race like bees to a honey pot because it’ s the world’s most glamorous sporting event. To name a few that have visited in recent years: actors Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Hugh Grant and Liz Hurley, soccer star Roberto Carlos and Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich.

Nomvember in Austin
In the state capital of Texas, they pride themselves on being far from ordinary. In fact, they celebrate being “weird.” Austin is a hot spot for creativity and embraces its community of musicians, artists, entrepreneurs and progressive thinkers.
Austin is home to a singer named Willie, a cyclist named Lance and a Longhorn steer named Bevo. And is known for being the Live Music Capital of the World®, a title that they take pretty seriously with nearly 200 live music venues.

England in July
There is an inextricable link between England and Formula One™ racing. Take three facts: (1) Silverstone is the oldest race on the calendar; (2) England is home to six of the teams (McLaren, Williams, Red Bull, Renault, Midland and BAR) and (3) the sport’ s commercial management is based in London.
The UK has a unique blend of beautiful countryside, great cities and some mouth watering architecture, making it a must- see for all travellers. And London, in the words of Hollywood star Samuel L Jackson, is 'just cool'.
From a driver’s perspective, Silverstone’s 5.1 kilometres are some of the most formidable on the Formula One™ calendar. The track, a former World War II aerodrome, is fast and a quick lap time requires bravery and finesse.

July in Germany
The north Rhine region of Germany is recognised for its unspoilt beauty and nowhere is that description more justified than in the Eifel Mountains, the home of the Nurburgring. The countryside hasn’t changed for centuries, except for the building of the two tracks: the glorious Nordschliefe in 1925 and the shorter version, which is where the German Grand Prix™ is held, in 1982.
“I love racing at the Nurburgring,” says Ralf Schumacher. “Obviously it’s nice to be racing on home turf, but there is more to it than that. I love the countryside surrounding the track: I like walking in the Eifel Mountains and it’s also a very good place to go hunting.”

September in Monza
No track gets a Formula One™ fan's pulse racing faster than Monza. It’s the quickest circuit on the calendar and also one of the most evocative: the old banking - last used in 1961 - is clearly visible, as are some of the old stands.
When you combine the track’s merits with the cultural delights and shopping of nearby Milan, you are left with one of the most alluring races of the season. As well as the city and the circuit, the charms of Lake Como are just a short drive to the north and the Mediterranean coast is only a couple of hours away.
Did you know? A staggering 82 Italian drivers have started Grand Prix™ and two - Nino Farino and Alberto Ascari - have become world champion.
